Welcome to Green Meals Project. We're a local grassroots-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit combating hunger and malnutrition in our community. Our project assists unhoused individuals and working-poor adults facing food insecurity in Walnut Creek, California, by providing food at no cost and with no expectations or requirements to participate.
Through our Breakfast Program, we prepare and distribute plant-based Grab-and-Go Breakfast Bags to those in need. We've partnered with Trinity Center, a daytime shelter that provides safety net services to vulnerable populations, ensuring direct access to those who benefit from our program the most. Our Hands-on Volunteer Program coordinates volunteers who donate their time at food distribution sites and our local Food Bank sorting facility in Concord, California.

Green Meals Project began in 2020 with a simple idea: to respond to a growing need for food in our community while creating meaningful ways for neighbors to be part of the effort.
That idea took shape through our partnership with Trinity Center, a daytime shelter in Walnut Creek, California, where we launched our Breakfast Program to serve unhoused neighbors and others facing difficult circumstances.
What began as a small initiative has grown through the generosity of volunteers, local businesses, and supporters who continue to make our work possible.
