Green Meals Project

Welcome to  Green Meals Project. We're a local grassroots-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit combating hunger and malnutrition in our community. Our project assists unhoused individuals and working-poor adults facing food insecurity in Walnut Creek, California, by providing food at no cost and with no expectations or requirements to participate.

Through our Breakfast Program, we prepare and distribute plant-based Grab-and-Go Breakfast Bags to those in need. We've partnered with Trinity Center, a daytime shelter that provides safety net services to vulnerable populations, ensuring direct access to those who benefit from our program the most. Our Hands-on Volunteer Program coordinates volunteers who donate their time at food distribution sites and our local Food Bank sorting facility in Concord, California.

We are deeply grateful for the support of local business owners and community members. Their generosity, kindness, and compassion make our community and the world better. Thank you for joining us in this mission.

Our History

Our Mission

Established in 2020, Green Meals Project was born to fight food insecurity in our community. Partnering with Trinity Center, a daytime shelter in Walnut Creek, California, we launched the "Breakfast Program" to assist unhoused individuals experiencing poverty.
